Man arrested in Colorado Springs after threatening to kill girlfriend

Police have arrested a 33-year-old man after he pointed a gun at his girlfriend and struck her in the face causing a facial fracture.

Police were called to a residence near the intersection of Union and Academy Sunday evening for reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, the victim said her boyfriend, Anthony Fuentez, pointed a gun at her, threatened to kill her and struck her in the face causing a facial fracture.

The victim and her two children were able to escape the residence and contact neighbors who called the police.

Officers searched the home and a K-9 located Fuentez hiding in a closet.

Fuentez was booked into the El Paso Jail on felony domestic charges.
