Today: Partly cloudy skies during the mid-morning hours, turning mostly cloudy early afternoon. Similar to yesterday, scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures staying well below average with high’s to about 54. Any thunderstorms that do develop across I-25 today will stay relatively weak.
Tonight: Snow levels overnight will drop to about 8,000ft bringing the chance for a rain/snow mix for the Palmer Divide. 1-3″ possible for locations above 9,000ft. Precipitation chances dimish after midnight. Low temperatures in Colorado Springs to about 41.
Thursday: Partly cloudy for sunrise quickly turning mostly cloudy by late morning. Temperatures in the 40’s/50’s for the Air Force Academy graduation. Early afternoon rain showers spilling out of the mountains with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms after 3pm.
This unsettled weather pattern producing afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue through the start of the weekend. Entering into a nice little warming trend, back to the 70’s by Saturday.
