05/11/19 Forecast Discussion
Tonight: Isolated showers tapering off overnight. All of the storms this evening have been relatively weak and have stayed below any severe threshold. A few lightning strikes in the strongest of storms are possible but unlikely. Low temperatures in Colorado Springs will be in the high 30’s. The National Weather Service has issued a few Frost Advisories for early tomorrow morning. The Eastern Plains and Northern El Paso County are most likely to see below freezing temperatures, affecting sensitive plants.
Mother’s Day: Couldn’t ask for a better Mother’s Day forecast. Temperatures into the high 60’s with plentiful sunshine. Light winds and no rain chances.
Extended: A slight warming trend will push temperatures close to 80 degrees for the majority of the week. Something to look out for will be the chances for afternoon convective thunderstorms. The coverage of these disturbances will be minimal and mostly stay in the higher elevations.
