Snow ending, afternoon storms – 4/30/19
TODAY: Heavy rain and snow is likely through the mid morning in the Pikes Peak Region before it moves east and we dry things out for a small portion of the morning. Rain showers and a few storms redevelop around 11AM and start moving east again. Storms along and east of highway 50 will likely organize and become strong to severe for a time between 12 and 4PM today. Hail and strong winds look to be the main threats. We clear the area of any showers and storms by sunset this evening.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and cool with temperatures in the 30s and 40s. Melting snow could allow for some patchy fog tonight.
EXTENDED: A few more storms are possible over the next few days, along with a slow warm up. The weekend looks dry and mild with highs in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
