Showers and storms continue with flash flooding threat for burn areas

Tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms that roll through the I-25 Corridor do have the potential for dropping some heavy rain. It will be on the breezy side, and the winds will pick up after 8 P.M. Overnight low will fall into the low to mid 60s.

Thursday will bring us a better chance for widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms. We do have a Flash Flood Watch that will be in effect on Thursday for the Aspen Burn Scar Area from 2 P.M. through midnight. We will have to watch for heavy rain over that area, that could cause mud and debris flows. High for most areas in the Pikes Peak Region will hover near 90 degrees, with triple digit heat out towards the Eastern Plains.

A chance of showers and storms will stick around on Friday, with highs in the lower 90s, and triple digits heat on the Eastern Plains.

We do have a slight chance of showers and storms on Saturday and Sunday, with much hotter weather. Expect highs in the mid to upper 90s along the I-25 Corridor, and lower 100s out East.

It will remain hot for Monday Tuesday, with highs in the mid to upper 90s, with a slight chance of showers and storms.
