Weather Alert: Fog, fire danger and snow – 3/29/19
TODAY: We start the morning off with areas of dense fog and drizzle. This will make for a wet start to the day! We won’t see that clear out until at least 10 or 11am this morning. By noon, we get back into some sunshine with lingering clouds out over the eastern plains. A few hit and miss showers and rumbles of thunder are possible during the daytime and through the evening commute. Snow moves in late tonight.
TONIGHT: Look for snow to drop from the north to the south following midnight tonight. This stick with the front range through early tomorrow morning before the bulk of it clears out. 1-3″ is likely along the Palmer Divide, with a trace to 2″ in Teller County. Areas in Colorado Springs see a trace to 1″ with several inches over the southern mountains.
EXTENDED: A few more snow showers are possible south of Highway 50 on Sunday before we get into drier and warmer weather through the middle of next week.
