John Wristen talks about his recruiting class

Two straight titles opened the door for Jake Dillon, now’s he’s stepping through, “It’s gonna be different going from the top dog in high school to the freshman scout team player, but I’m ready to take on the challenge,” says Jake Dillon.

Dillon is joining teammate and best friend Colton Dill at CSU-Pueblo, a perfect fit, “One doesn’t go without the other, it’s ying and yang, says Dillon, Colton Dill added, “It’s a smaller school which I’m about, I don’t want a big college to go to, less distractions.”

Head coach John Wristen didn’t break a sweat recruiting the dynamic duo,”I wanted both of them so it really was a win win for both of us. They understand what it means to go win and compete and play hard and do all the right things so it was very easy for us,” says Wristen.

The problem is, he’s also recruiting from Pueblo East, “My official visit there was palmer ridge guys that came actually. So he had little jokes about us losing to them. I mean it hurt deep down but it was just fun being around them,” says Joe Padula.
