COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The family of the Colorado Springs mother suspected of murdering two of her children and injuring another is asking the public for help to locate her.

Police are searching for Kimberlee Singler after they say she disappeared four days after the alleged killings of her 7 year-old-son and 9-year-old daughter. She is also accused of injuring her 11-year-old daughter.

Her family released this statement first to KRDO13 Investigates on Friday night.

Following the statement made by the Wentz family attorney we decided to release a similar statement. We are cooperating fully with the police in their efforts to locate Kimberlee and we ask for the publics help in finding her. We are grieving deeply over this horrific tragedy and we ask for privacy and prayers as we navigate this storm. Our focus is on God and His glory and our surviving niece. We hope everyone remembers the innocence involved in this and our sole goal is protecting her. Please pray for all involved for healing and peace as we seek answers, and grant us our privacy. Thank you.

The Singler Family

Colorado Springs Police responded to a burglary call in the 5300 block of Palomino Ranch Point on Dec. 19.

When officers responded to the scene, they found a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl dead. Their mother, Kimberlee Singler, as well as her 11-year-old daughter, were found injured.

CSPD said they could not immediately bring Kimberlee Singler into custody because of how the investigation began. When officers initially responded to Palomino Ranch Point, they responded to an alleged burglary and thus treated Singler as a victim.
