Ryan Swan has grown since his freshman year at Air Force

It wasn’t that long ago that this Swan was having trouble swimming the Academy waters, “I got kicked off the team my freshman year cuz of grades,” says Air Force junior Ryan Swan.

What helped Ryan navigate through a turbulent freshman year was his loving mother,”She’s a huge help. and she was a big motivator. I didn’t want to let her down,” says Swan.

Ryan has grown into a man since his early days at Air Force, literally, “How tall are you? I think the stat sheet says I’m six seven but I feel like I’m six eight maybe six nine on a good day.” Where you always the tall kid in school? No actually I didn’t start growing until my junior year of high school. I think as a freshman I was five eight two sixty. I was a little chunky monkey back in the day.”
