Colorado Springs Police investigating shooting on Morning Sun Ave.

Two people were shot and treated overnight at a hospital in Colorado Springs Monday.

The first victim was at an apartment complex near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Morning Sun Drive when the shooting was reported. Police said a second victim was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Tuesday afternoon, police announced that an arrest had been made in the shooting. Jabari Maurice Wilson, 29, was arrested for criminal attempt first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, and menacing. A mugshot hasn’t been made available yet.

The Colorado Springs Police Department tweeted out saying the injuries were non-life threatening.

KRDO contacted Colorado Springs police for more information about the shooting but have yet to hear back.
