Suspect arrested after stabbing roommate early Christmas morning in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Police arrested a man early Christmas morning after he allegedly stabbed his roommate when a fight became physical.
Colorado Springs police responded to the 3500 block of La Salle Street around 2:21 a.m. Wednesday, according to the police report. Officers learned that the two roommates had gotten into a physical altercation and the suspect stabbed the victim.
Officers found the suspect a short distance away from the residence. They arrested the man, identified as 28-year-old Gregory Kauppila.
The victim was treated at a local hospital, police said. The severity of his injuries is not clear at time of publication.
