Arrest made after apparent road rage incident in El Paso County

Randy Cottey says he and his daughter were assaulted by a couple in a road rage incident on Wednesday that left him hospitalized.

The attack happened near Woodmen Road and Meridian near Peyton, just east of Colorado Springs. Cottey was set for surgery Friday due to injuries he sustained from the attack.

We spoke to his wife Mary about it all, and she said Friday that an arrest has been made.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said one suspect, David Connor, was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center for charges of second-degree assault and third-degree harassment.

A gofundme account has been set up for the Cottey family after the attack.
