Section of N. Academy closing Wednesday and Thursday night

N. Academy Boulevard will be closed Wednesday and Thursday night while construction crews install necessary pieces for a bridge over Cottonwood Creek.

The closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, according to the city.

Detours will be marked, and police will be around to guide drivers.

Southbound traffic will exit at the Woodmen Road off-ramp and follow a detour south to Dublin Boulevard and then back to Academy. Northbound traffic will be detoured at Dublin and will be diverted up to Woodmen Road before moving back to Academy.
