Two females in their early twenties were traveling in the car. One of the women was thrown into the road during the crash. Both women were taken to the hospital, their injuries are expected to be non-life threatening.

Police said 31-year-old Shante L. Jackson was driving the car and wasn’t seriously injured. She was charged with DUI, careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury, and vehicular assault.

Alcohol and drugs are suspected in the crash.

All of the lanes near exit 139 were reopened by about 8 a.m.
