Southbound I-25 now open following crash near North Academy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Southbound I-25 has opened up near North Academy in Colorado Springs on Monday morning.

The Colorado Department of Transportation says southbound I-25 was been closed between Woodmen Road (149) and Briargate Parkway(151), because of a car crash.

Colorado Springs police confirmed there was a crash involving a semi-truck. There were no injuries.

CSPD confirmed there was a car that was engulfed in flames around the area near the time of the crash. Police say both incidents were not related.
