Authorities investigating reports of flight with up to 100 ill people at New York airport
An airplane is being quarantined at a New York City airport after reports say as many as 100 people on board could be sick.
The Emirate Airlines flight number EK203 was traveling from Dubai and was carrying 521 passengers when it safely landed at John F. Kennedy airport Wednesday morning. Preliminary information indicates that the pilot reported that two male passengers have extremely high fevers and about 100 passengers are “coughing non-stop.”
The plane is being kept away from the airport’s terminal. Authorities are investigating the illness.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Customs and Border Protection have been notified.
