Two pedestrians hit, seriously injured, by car in Pueblo

Two people are in the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car early Saturday morning in Pueblo.

It happened just before 4:45. Pueblo Police tell us it started as a fight between two people at 10th St. and Portland Ave.

One person then got into a car and ran over a man and a woman, pushing them through a fence. The suspect then drove off. Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police don’t have any information on a possible suspect. Witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle as a white, older model style police car.

Police say they found what could be the suspect’s vehicle completely engulfed in flames not too far from the scene shortly after they were dispatched, but they haven’t confirmed that at this time.
