Juvenile caught after shooting a man in northeast Colorado Springs

A juvenile was taken into custody by Colorado Springs police after shooting an adult male in the 3800 block of Surrey Lane.

Upon arrival to the scene, officers gave medical attention to the victim. He was transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Officers later located the suspect and charged him with second-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, obstructing a peace officer, theft and possession of handguns by juveniles.
