Colorado Springs man gets 21 years for robbery spree
A Colorado Springs man with a history of hold-ups will now be holed up in prison after being sentenced to 21 years this week.
Christopher Lee Barry, 33, was found guilty of robbing four banks, three Walgreens stores, a residential home, and an IHOP — before the name change — between April and September 2017, according to a release. The exact locations weren’t given.
Colorado Springs police say Barry would use notes to demand cash and “threaten harm with a firearm.” Police said at least 20 victims were identified, but it’s not clear how much money he stole overall.
Barry was sentenced Monday to 21 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections.
