Sunday Severe Storms 6-24-18
A quick developing thunderstorm initiated over Teller County dropping half dollar size hail. It brought hail and rain/snow to Pikes Peak during the International Hill Climb and created a weather delay. It then intensified and moved into Colorado Springs bringing a quick round of heavy rain and accumulating hail. Some of the largest hail stones were half dollar to ping pong size. Additional severe storms are possible across all of Southern Colorado this evening as a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Large hail, gusty winds and an isolated tornado will be possible as these storms travel southeast this evening.
