Quieting Down Tonight 5-28-18
TONIGHT: Conditions are quieting down around Southern Colorado as the strong to severe storms have moved well north and east. A few showers are still likely to linger around the Pikes Peak Region. Skies remain partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight. Temps fall to the low to mid 50s by early tomorrow, while parts of the eastern plains will be near 60.
TOMORROW: Much like today, partly sunny skies will be present throughout the area to start the day. Once we make it to the afternoon, shower and storm activity will increase, with the best chance of those being severe across the eastern plains. The biggest threat with these storms will be large hail, wind gusts up to 60 mph, and frequent lightning. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.
EXTENDED: With the chance for showers and storms still being present on Wednesday, the weather will begin to calm down as we finish out the work week. By the weekend, temps will be in the upper 80s, with some areas being in the low to mid 90s.
