#117Fire blamed on human activity

The #117Fire that burned a total of 42,795 acres is said to be caused by human activity, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office said it has not isolated the cause to a specific event or defined what human activity caused it.

In total, there were 23 homes destroyed and 17 people were displaced by the fire that burned south of Fountain near I-25.
