Colorado Springs police, SWAT arrest domestic violence suspect after standoff

One person is in custody following a domestic violence incident and a standoff with the Colorado Springs Police Department and El Paso County SWAT Thursday.

Police said 31-year-old Orlando Rosales was taken into custody shortly before noon in the 900 block of Hathaway Drive.

Rosales faces felony domestic violence charges. A mugshot wasn’t immediately available.

The Colorado Springs Police Department and the El Paso County SWAT Team have set up a perimeter and are working to arrest a domestic violence suspect east of the city.

Police said around 11:45 a.m. Thursday that an active scene was set up in the 900 block of Hathaway. (MAP)

CSPD said more information would be available shortly.
