Hometown Hero: Josiah Schwindt

U.S. Air Force Airman Josiah R. Schwindt graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Schwindt earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Rodney Schwindt and step-son of Neeley Schwindt of Fort Collins, Colo., grandson of Larry and Connie Schwindt of Pierce, Colo., and brother of Patricia Schwindt of Trinidad, Colo. Schwindt is also the brother of Nat Schwindt.

The airman is a 2017 graduate of Liberty Common High School, Fort Collins, Colo.
