Wind Alert Level 1 on Thursday – 1/24/18

TONIGHT: Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight tonight. Our lows will cool into the 20s in most locations. Low lying areas and mountain cities will feel some lows in the middle to upper teens.

EXTENDED: Tomorrow brings fire danger concerns due to very dry air, warmth and breezy conditions. A Wind Alert Level 1 is in place which means we could see wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph. Red flag warnings have been issued for parts of Southern Colorado so outdoor burning should be avoided. This warm and dry weather is out ahead of our next cold front, set to arrive Thursday night into the day on Friday. This will bring some snow to places along the Continental Divide, with just slight chances for a few snow showers in some of our mountain cities. Accumulation is not expected in our area.
