Police: Man arrested for strangling girlfriend in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police have arrested a man for allegedly strangling his girlfriend and trying to kill her.

The incident happened just after midnight Sunday in the 700 block of Prairie Road.

Police received a 911 call from a woman saying her boyfriend, Dennis Seibold strangled her, several times, in an attempt to kill her. Seibold then reportedly dragged her to their van.

The woman was able to get away by jumping out of the moving van. She was then taken to Memorial Central for her injuries.

Police eventually found the van still running with the driver’s side door open in an alley behind a home on Prairie Road.

K-9 units were called out and a perimeter was established around the home.

Police eventually arrested Seibold without incident.

At this time, it’s unclear what Seibold is being charged with. The investigation is ongoing.
