Colorado Springs retailer donating profits to slain deputy’s family
One Colorado Springs clothing store is hoping you’ll clear out its inventory for a good cause Saturday.
Lillie Avenue, a women’s clothing store on Bass Pro Drive, announced that 100 percent of the proceeds from Saturday’s sales will go to the family of fallen Douglas County Deputy Zackari Parrish.
Parrish, 29, was killed on Dec. 31 in a shooting at a Highland Ranch apartment complex. Several other deputies and civilians were injured. The suspect was fatally shot by police.
Parrish’s funeral was held Friday.
Lillie Avenue says the store will also have a separate donation jar for the family.
