Search ends after pair of 9-year-old boys found safe in Teller County

The search for two missing 9 year old boys is over after they were found safe on Wednesday.

Searchers set up an Incident Command post at Sanborn Western Ranch in hopes of finding the two.

According to Teller County Search and Rescue, the boys were last seen around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon when they were seen walking away from the camp. Foul play was never suspected.

During the search, Teller County Sheriff’s Office deployed searchers on ATVs and on horseback.

20 people from the camp also assisted in the search, and area residents received notifications to be on the lookout.

Sanborn Western Ranch is located 35 miles west of Colorado Springs, and encompasses 6,000 acres of open forest, according to the camp’s website.
