What is El Paso Co. Ballot Issue 7A?

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- El Paso County voters will decide in November whether or not to extend the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority's one-cent sales tax for local transportation projects.
Voters will not decide on a tax increase, just a continuation of the 55% of the tax that funds capital improvements. Voters in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls, and Ramah approved the initial tax request in 2004 and extended it by an overwhelming margin in 2014.
The capital portion of the tax comprises 55% of revenue generated by the tax, with 35% designated for maintenance and 10% for transit needs; passage would extend the capital portion for one-time projects from 2025 through 2034.
