Steve Schleiker is running as a Republican to be the next El Paso County Clerk and Recorder. 

Schleiker is the current Assessor for El Paso County and has been since 2014. He has served in the County Assessor’s office since 1999. After graduating from Widefield High School in 1987, Schleiker joined the Marine Corp. and received an honorable discharge in 1999.
