Colorado Springs firefighters contain overnight fire to garage
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Crews from the Colorado Springs Fire Department tackle a fire inside a garage near a home east of Palmer Park.
Crews were called to the 3800 block of Bunkhouse Dr., near the intersection of Oro Blanco Dr. and N. Carefree Cir., just after 11 p.m. Thursday. We're told the fire was contained to the garage.
Two people were inside the home at the time but got out safely. One person was treated for possible smoke inhalation. They will be temporarily displaced. At this time, crews are still searching for two cats that were inside the home at the time.
The investigation into this fire is ongoing. We will update this story with any new developments we receive.
