Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Dry Weekend Ahead – 1/25/2020

Overview:  Our weekend looks to be dry and breezy at times. We're tracking a couple of upper level waves that will affect the state during the work week. Right now it appears that we'll have a chance for at least some scattered rain and snow showers on Monday with another chance for some snow for parts of the area on Wednesday.

Today:  Becoming mostly sunny and breezy with high temperatures reaching the 40s and 50s for most areas.

Tonight:  Partly cloudy with low temperatures in the 20s for most of us although the high mountain valleys will be colder.

Sunday:  Partly cloudy with less wind and high temperatures in the 40s and 50s again for most areas.

Extended:  We are tracking an upper level system that will bring colder air and at least scattered rain and snow showers to parts of the area on Monday. Currently it appears that most of the accumulating snow will fall over the ski resorts, but we cannot yet rule out some bursts of snow locally just yet.  Tuesday should be dry and cool but another upper level system will bring areas of snow to the state on Wednesday.  Best we can tell the chances for accumulating snow on Wednesday will be best over the higher terrain surrounding Colorado Springs and/or Pueblo but all areas will be breezy and colder again. We expect a warming trend through the end of the week into next weekend.
