High fire danger for I-25 corridor today – 10/14/19

TODAY: Sunny skies are in the forecast today with the exception of one or two passing afternoon clouds. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s with 60s in the mountains. Winds will pick up a bit during lunchtime today which will work to increase the fire danger. Red flag warnings are out for the I-25 corridor from 11am until 8pm tonight. Max wind gusts will reach 35 mph.

TONIGHT: Clear skies with lows cooling to the 20s and 30s.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week brings continued dry weather with afternoon temperatures ranging from the 60s to the low 80s. Both rain and snow are on tap for parts of the weekend (Friday and Sunday), but it is still too early to determine storm specifics. As of right now, Sunday looks to be the more impactful weather day.
