Hottest day of the week bringing scorching temps

Today: Monday is tracking some of the highest heat of the week. Colorado Springs tops out in the high-90s. Pueblo could get up to 104 today. Showers and cloud cover move in through the evening, providing some relief. Colorado Springs has consistent small passing showers after 12 pm. Pueblo has small showers after 1 pm but they develop into small thunderstorms after 6 pm.

Colorado Springs is expected to get very close to the daily high temperature record for August 3rd. The hottest Colorado Springs temperature in August is 99 degrees. The daily high for the 3rd is not far off with 98 degrees.

Pueblo is expected to get into the triple digits with a change to rival the daily high temperature record of 103. Pueblo's August high temperature record is 105.

Tomorrow: Relief is finally settling in. Tuesday is the coolest day of the week with 85 degrees in store for Colorado Springs which is right around our average temperature. Shoers and thunderstorms will be passing through the I-25 area around 4 pm for the commute home.
