Tracking weekend warm-up, high fire danger

TODAY: Expect more low air quality due to wildfires burning out in Utah. we're tracking scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening with only a few severe weather chances along and east of I-25. Highs will be in the mid 80s in Colorado Springs and low 90s in Pueblo.

WEEKEND: Saturday and Sunday will bring drier and warmer conditions. We're tracking mostly sunny skies and highs in the 90s in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, and even some triple digits across the Plains! Expect high fire danger.

EXTENDED: The dry conditions continue through the first half of next week. We stay hot with highs in the low to mid 90s.
