Purgatory ski resort announces more lift openings

Purgatory Ski Resort

DURANGO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Following nearly a foot of snowfall in a 72-hour span, Purgatory ski resort in Durango announced the opening of another lift.

Lift 3 is now open, bringing the total number of open lifts to seven. 37 trails are also open.

While that snowfall is promising for the opening of more lifts, early season conditions may still exist.

"While all that fresh powder promises great fun, Purgatory kindly reminds guests to always exercise caution on the slopes. Early season conditions persist, meaning hidden obstacles may still exist. Please stay on designated open trails for safety."
