Marty’s Wednesday Evening Forecast – Couple Warm Days Ahead – 9/28/2022

Overview: We're tracking slightly cooler air for the weekend…

Tonight: Any weak showers and/or thunderstorms over and near the mountains will end early this evening, then partly to mostly cloudy during the night. We expect temperatures to fall into the 40s and 50s for most areas, but 30s are more likely over the high mountain valleys.

Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy, breezy at times, and warm with high temperatures reaching the 70s and 80s along the I-25 corridor, 80s over the plains, and 60s and 70s for the mountains and high mountain valleys. Isolated, brief, and generally weak showers and thunderstorms are possible over and near the mountains, but we don't expect much rain.

Extended: Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are more likely starting Friday, mainly over and near the mountains, but the air will remain warm. The weekend should be slightly cooler with showers and thunderstorms likely more numerous, but still generally confined to areas over and near the mountains. Early next week the air may cool more, possibly into the 50s and 60s for much of eastern Colorado, and areas of rain and thunder could be more likely farther east as well.
