Wildfire Smoke Wednesday

Capture

Expect Red Flag fire conditions the next couple of day… with warm and windy weather.

TONIGHT: Lighter winds and mild overnight. Morning lows Wednesday will cool into the low-50s. It will be smoky overnight tonight and through tomorrow morning.

TOMORROW: Dry and breezy with south, southwest winds gusting between 30-50 mph after the noon hour. Wildfire smoke from a large fire burning in New Mexico will be the main component contributing to poor air quality. We may see a few thunderstorms out across the southeastern plains Wednesday afternoon and evening. Expect highs Wednesday in the upper-80s to the mid-90s. We'll get about ten degrees of cooling for Thursday… but still windy conditions and critical fire weather.

EXTENDED: Dry and warm weather will prevail through the weekend with temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Clearer skies should take over with a shift in winds by Friday pushing some of the wildfire smoke back south and out of our region.
