WARMER MONDAY/RAIN CHANCES TUESDAY

Tonight:  Partly cloudy and breezy at times with low temperatures mainly in the 40s, but some mountain communities will fall into the 30s.

Tomorrow: Monday looks windy and warm again with more fire weather concerns likely.

Extended: Tuesday brings unsettled weather with mostly cloudy skies and still elevated winds. Still windy and warm early on Tuesday, but the air will turn sharply colder late in the day with areas of rain and snow developing through the evening. Rain is expected over most of the plains (maybe even a little thunder), but on the higher terrain along and west of I-25 some wet snow is also likely to fall Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Impacts to travel, if they occur, would likely be confined to mainly mountain communities or possibly briefly on the highest elevations along the Palmer Divide. Wednesday looks cool and unsettled with scattered rain showers possible over the plains and a mixture of spotty rain and snow showers over the mountains into the afternoon. We expect a nice warming trend as we approach next weekend with breezy afternoons and passing mountain wave clouds.
