The Week Ahead
Tonight: Low clouds have been quite stubborn today in El Paso County, making for a December like day in regards to temperatures. Patchy/dense fog will be possible through the evening hours in northern Colorado Springs with gradual clearing expected after midnight. Low temperatures will reach 34 degrees in Colorado Springs and also 34 in Pueblo.
Extended: High temperatures will rebound nicely during the first half of the workweek, hitting into the low to mid-70s in Colorado Springs Monday through Thursday. Thursday night a cold front will cross over Colorado and bring sharply cooler temperatures into next weekend. Unfortunately for most Coloradoans, the drought continues this week. Tomorrow marks 28 days since Colorado Springs has received measurable precipitation, but there is some good news. Long-range computer models are hinting at a burst of rain/snow to enter into central Colorado mountains next Sunday. There is obviously ample amounts of uncertainty due to the event being a week away, but fingers crossed the dry spell finally comes to an end.
