DROUGHT WORSENS AMID ONGOING FIRES

Mostly calm winds tonight as fire personnel try and suppress the growth of the BARR TRAIL Fire which ignited on Thursday afternoon. Cause unknown. Latest drought monitor shows moderate to severely dry conditions for El Paso County with the high country in worse shape.

TONIGHT: Clear skies and mild overnight temperatures. Morning lows Friday will dip into the upper-40s and low-50s with light winds.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny and dry with temps running about 20° above average in the 80's to low 90's for the Eastern Plains

WEEKEND: Sunshine and very warm temperatures through the start of the weekend, with highs remaining well above average. Changes begin to blow in on Sunday with increasing cloud cover and breezy conditions. Much colder Monday with our first chance for precipitation in more than a month. Highs Monday will drop into the upper-50s and low-60s.
