SHOWERS AND STORMS EARLY THIS EVENING

severe123

TONIGHT: A few stronger storms likely (mostly for mountain terrain areas where hail and wind are the primary threat). These storms will be heavy rain producers region-wide and will linger until just after sunset tonight and then skies will partially clear overnight. Morning lows Tuesday will fall into the upper-50s and low-60s.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny and warmer. Highs will climb into the 80's and 90's. Strong to severe storms likely after 2 pm. Hail up to a quarter inch in diameter or larger.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will continue to heat up as we head into mid-week, with highs climbing into the low to upper-90s. Chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms continue through at least Thursday afternoon. Currently, models are pointing to drier and hotter air filtering into the region by the weekend.
