Patchy fog possible as skies clear out

Our upper-level storm system, responsible for the recent active weather, is departing our area. Temperatures are cooler in its wake, and skies are beginning to clear out. With some clear skies, temperatures will drop back into the 30s for many, and a few communities like Woodland Park and Monument may touch freezing by early tomorrow morning. In addition, patchy dense fog may develop across some areas, including the I-25 corridor and San Luis Valley.

Any fog will burn off by later in the morning hours, and sunshine should remain abundant through the afternoon. A few clouds may develop later in the day, but most should stay dry. High temperatures tomorrow will rebound nicely into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Wednesday will feature similar temperatures and dry conditions. A weak cold front will knock temperatures back slightly for Thursday and Friday, with some increasing cloudiness, but precipitation chances look minimal. At this point, the chances of precipitation for Halloween and this weekend look somewhat minimal, but can't be completely ruled out. Better chances for precipitation and cooler temperatures enter the forecast by early next week.
