Warm and Sunny This Weekend, Heavy Rain By Tuesday

Upper-level high pressure is building into our area this weekend, providing abundant sunshine and warming temperatures. Today's afternoon highs will reach the mid-80s in Pueblo and the eastern Plains, with upper 70s across the rest of the I-25 corridor.

Skies will remain mostly clear overnight, with temperatures dropping into the 50s for most. It'll be cooler in the San Luis Valley and the higher elevations, where 30s and 40s can be expected into early Sunday morning.

Sunday will feature another day of warmth and sunshine. Monday's temperatures may cool down slightly with increasing clouds as an upper-level low digs into the western half of the country. Rain chances will enter the forecast by Monday but ramp up considerably by Tuesday of next week. Rounds of heavy rain will be possible through the middle of next week, and confidence is growing in the potential for flooding hazards.
