Isolated rain chances overnight

Expect the rest of Monday to remain dry, with some sunshine into the evening hours. Clouds will increase later tonight, and a few isolated showers and thunderstorms may develop overnight, mostly east of I-25. Temperatures will drop into the 50s for most, although lows in the 30s are expected in the San Luis Valley.

On Tuesday, anomalously high moisture totals will pool into our area, and showers and thunderstorms are possible into the afternoon. Daytime highs will reach the mid-70s to low 80s. There is an increasing concern for a flooding threat across the southern Sangre, where significant rain has been falling recently.

The active pattern will continue through the heart of the work week, as southwesterly upper-level flow will combine with ample moisture, increasing chances for widespread showers and thunderstorms each afternoon. Daytime highs will reach the 70s for most, close to seasonal averages.
