Heavy Rain Possible Through the Rest of the Week

Moisture has continued to increase across the area, and with stronger upper-level southwest flow aloft, isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected through the evening hours. The best chances of precipitation will be back into the mountains, with limited chances across the eastern Plains. Flash flooding could become a concern if heavy rain develops over area burn scars.

Precipitation chances, although not zero, will wind down overnight under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be a little milder, with mid-50s to mid-60s expected by Thursday morning.

Thursday and Friday's forecast will continue to be impacted by stronger upper-level energy overtop sufficient moisture, leading to increased chances for showers and thunderstorms each afternoon. Temperatures will be warming into the 80s the next several afternoons, with low 90s across the eastern Plains. Temperatures may drop slightly for the weekend, with the potential for a warmer and drier pattern next week.
