A Few Light Showers, Otherwise Warm Through the Weekend

Clouds will continue to increase through the evening, and there will be an outside chance of light rain showers, mostly in the mountains. Skies will clear overnight, with temperatures dropping into the upper 50s and low 60s for most.

Temperatures on Saturday will be slightly cooler, however remain above average, with highs in the mid to upper 80s across our area. There again will be a chance of a few showers by the afternoon.

The longer-term forecast features a return to hotter temperatures on Sunday and Monday, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms each afternoon as monsoonal moisture continues to stream in. Upper-level energy and a cold front are expected to arrive early next week, bringing a much cooler pattern to the area and increased chances for widespread rain.
