A very active rest of the work week

Today: Hot temperatures continue with Colorado Springs likely to hit 90 degrees before 5 pm and 96 for Pueblo. An increase of cloud cover will be apparent by 12 pm with small showers by 1 pm and small thunderstorms around 2 pm. Storms cross I-25 and as they make their way over the east they become more severe bringing a strong possibility to produce hail from 5-8 pm. The burn scar area in Pueblo and Custer Counties is under a Flash Flood Watch from 8 am until 8 pm.

Tomorrow: A very similar set up in the atmosphere takes place as Colorado Springs and areas along I-25 see thunderstorms fire up around 1 pm. High temperatures will be similar to Wednesday with some areas a degree cooler. Winds are expected to kick up significantly from 3-5 pm especially for the southern areas across Huerfano and Las Animas Counties. Thunderstorms grow stronger and hit the eastern plains the hardest at 5-8 pm.
