Severe Thunderstorm Watch in far southern Colorado

Tonight: Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms already developing in Las Animas County. Currently these storms are producing over 1" diameter hail and 60mph wind gusts and plenty of lightning. Expect Kim, Branson, and Springfield to be the main areas to experience the severe weather. Colorado Springs and Pueblo will stay clear overnight with low temperatures to 58 degrees in Colorado Springs and 60 in Pueblo.

Sunday: Plenty of morning sunshine with temperatures warming very quickly through the mid day hours. Highs to 93 degrees in Colorado Springs and 98 in Pueblo. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop along the I-25 corridor between 2-6pm. There is the potential for one of two stronger storms to develop, best to stay weather aware.

Extended: High pressure ridging through Wednesday with high temperatures pushing near record breaking, into the mid 90s consistently in Colorado Springs with minimal precipitation chances.
