Sunday showers & thunderstorms

Tonight: Isolated showers are currently developing across the Rampart Range and moving south. I'd expect a few showers this evening in the Colorado Springs area, but of low severity. The best chance for a stronger thunderstorm is up into Teller and Fremont Counties. Gradually after 10pm the precipitation will diminish with skies turning mostly clear. Low temperatures down to 57 degrees in Colorado Springs and 60 in Pueblo.

Sunday: Morning sunshine will help temperatures once again warm into the mid 80s in Colorado Springs and low 90s in Pueblo. Unfortunately, showers and thunderstorms will develop in the high county and push east during the early afternoon hours. A few of these storms could be strong to severe, but the hail and strong wind threat is quite low, so this is looking more like a lightning and heavy rainfall event in Colorado Springs. The moisture will continue it's track into the eastern plains through the evening hours.

Extended: Looking at a beautiful week ahead with plenty of sunshine and temperatures warming to summer time averages. Most valley spots will be hitting into the high 80s and low 90s for 5 consecutive days with minimal rain chances through Friday.
